Always good to get FREE BEER, but a little sweeter when it’s something you designed.
Thanks a lot guys. Much appreciated.

Cheers,

One of our Design Directors recently visited the latest exhibition of Melbourne based contemporary artist Emily Floyd, now showing at the Heide Museum of Modern Art.  Focusing on key works from the past ten years of Floyd’s practice, the exhibition also includes eleven new works devised specifically for Heide galleries and grounds.

“The title Far Rainbow is taken from a 1963 Soviet science-fiction story set on the imaginary planet Rainbow, a utopian location inhabited by artists and scientists, which faces destruction when a science experiment spirals out of control. A starship sent to rescue the children and their teachers becomes like an orbiting kindergarten carrying with it the possibility of a regenerated future.”

We’re liking this very simple, but effective packaging innovation.
Lets hope they their fruit ripens?

RIPPING…

Ripping_Ments

Our Managing Director recently took a trip to ‘Pitstop Hill’ in Indonesia’s Mentawai Islands to get himself seriously ‘pitted’. By the look of the pics the trip was a success.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew!

Designing for Hotel Budapest

Grand Budapest Hotel

All the chicks in the office have been going ‘gaga’ over Annie Atkins design work in Wes Anderson’s latest film, The Grand Budapest Hotel. Annie was responsible for every graphic prop in the movie, which is an impressive feat in itself. Check it out…

Deli_POTY

Well done to ‘Deli Seasoned Chips’ for winning product of the year as voted by consumers.

The Spewbag Challenge!

Spewbag

Gemma O’brien’s (Mrs Eaves) typography is awesome! It’s amazing that these are drawn on the back of a ‘spew bag’ every time she flies. Not only be beautiful typography but we really appreciate the wit also.

2013keybrandingxmasparty

The Key Branding family celebrated solidly at the Mornington Races on Friday the 6th. Apart from some dodgy tips the day went off without a hitch. The sun was shining, the drinks were flowing and Trev (the bus driver) put up with some ordinary Karaoke on the way home.

Not much else can be said on this public forum…

HAND LETTERING GURU!

handletteringguru

Slash’s long lost brother? No, but this dude really does whale when it comes to hand lettering.

Self-taught artist Glen Weisgerber is a master pinstriper who has been in business since the early 1970s painting all matter of truck lettering, race cars, logo designs, guitars and bike customizations.

We were truly blown away by how perfect he was the letterforms are. Check out the video at the link below.

ice coke bottle

We thought the new Coke bottle made entirely of ice was pretty freakin’ awesome.

This icy new drinking vessel is shaped like the traditional glass Coke bottle and has the company’s name etched into the ice, according to Coca Cola’s website.

If you’re at least a marginally curious person, then perhaps you’re wondering how this works. Basically, these bottles are made of silicone molds filled with micro-filtered water, frozen to -13° F. Once you’ve drunk all the Coke, the bottle melts away. Oh, and each bottles come equipped with a rubber red band to make it easier to hold the vessel. The band then doubles as a bracelet. Bonus!

It’s good to see a brilliant idea rise above the logistical nightmare it potentially creates. Well done Coke!
